- So Indian.. hmph! And do people really know that it is etiquette to walk on the side closest to the road when walking with women/children?
3. A regular church-goer giving that "I am so surprised" look on seeing an irregular one in church
-Treat them normal. Everyone's equal in the eyes of the Almighty
4. Some-one who keeps on telling that
a)he doesn't have anything to learn from that church leader
b)he knows a regular church-goer who can drink so much as well
c)he hates going to church because it is led by the leaders, and not by Christ
-This is all an excuse and misinterpretation. It is not for us to judge. Ask yourself do you want to burn forever just because that leader did not impress you? Nobody's perfect. Pray, go to church, read the Bible - this is the duty of every Christian. If you can't do these, you don't have to judge the ones doing it.
5. Some-one who dresses up with the costliest and latest of fashion, but the family is struggling to earn a daily living
- I call this complete selfishness

To #1 I would add, fathers (mothers also) who carry babies/kids and smoking their lungs out....poor kids, I often tell them not to them (if i am at work, in my uniform)
I'm surprised anything annoys you, you always sound so good natured. I agree with most of your points, but let me try to rationalise why men walk a head of the woman (wife)First of all I think in the Mizo context, the inter village roads and jhum roads ( feh kawng ) are so narrow, there is no way two can walk side by side. Then if they had to walk in tandem, it makes sense for the man to walk ahead, as you never know if they will encounter some wild animals or not.So, walking ahes of the womwn may be considered chivalry!!

@dr_feelgood: LOL. You are right!:-) Inter village roads are too narrow. If a bear jumps up, the man has to fight back and guard the woman. And the bear can jump from any corner :P. But while walking on city and town roads, the only possible danger to face are fast moving motorcycles and cars and trucks running on the road :-)

Amen hallelujah! 90% of the people I mean Mizo people who are "fashionable" do not afford the clothes they wear. This obsession with fashion is something I will never comprehend.

1. Always smoke when you are pregnant. Your smoking helps the unborn baby prepare for the air pollution in the real world.
2. No comments. I'm not husband yet, but I think wife should walk by my side. :-)
3. When we meet someone on the Church we used to say, "Iva ti tha ve." Don't you think it's time to change the phrase and say, "Praise God." or "God bless you"?
4. Don't judge yourself with others. Compare yourself with Christ.
